F\u00fcnf Jahre lang forschte ein interdisziplin\u00e4res Team unter Beteiligung der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt zur F\u00f6rderung der Insektenvielfalt in St\u00e4dten \u2013 am Beispiel der Stadt Frankfurt. Am 14. Mai 2025 wurden die zentralen Ergebnisse im Rahmen einer Abschlussveranstaltung im Frankfurter Palmengarten pr\u00e4sentiert. Eingeladen waren Vertreter*innen aus Kommunen, Wissenschaft und Stadtgesellschaft.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ziel des vom Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) gef\u00f6rderten Projekts unter der Leitung des ISOE (Institut f\u00fcr sozial-\u00f6kologische Forschung) war es, neue Wege aufzuzeigen, wie urbane Gr\u00fcnfl\u00e4chen insektenfreundlich gestaltet und B\u00fcrger*innen f\u00fcr den Insektenschutz gewonnen werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Goethe-Universit\u00e4t war Teil des naturwissenschaftlichen Bereichs des Projekts. Gemeinsam mit weiteren Forschungspartnern konnte mithilfe eines innovativen Umwelt-DNA-Monitorings eine Vielzahl von Insektenarten identifiziert werden \u2013 darunter auch gef\u00e4hrdete Arten und solche, die erstmals in Hessen nachgewiesen wurden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um die Wertsch\u00e4tzung f\u00fcr Insekten zu f\u00f6rdern, setzte SLInBio neben natur- und sozialwissenschaftlicher Forschung auch auf kreative B\u00fcrgerbeteiligung: Ausstellungen, Workshops, Citizen-Science-Angebote und k\u00fcnstlerische Interventionen erm\u00f6glichten vielf\u00e4ltige Zug\u00e4nge zum Thema Insektenschutz im urbanen Raum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
